Refund Policy
Last updated: April 2026
This policy explains when Linkssi (the "Service") will refund money you've paid us, and when we won't. We've kept it short and specific on purpose.
1. The Free plan is free
You never pay anything to use the Free plan, so refunds don't come up. If you upgraded to a paid plan and want to go back, see section 3.
2. Paid subscriptions — how billing works
Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Premium) are billed monthly in advance. When you subscribe on the 10th, you're paying for service through the 10th of next month, and your card is automatically charged again on that date unless you cancel first. Details are in our Terms of Service.
3. 7-day satisfaction guarantee on your first paid period
If it's your first time subscribing to a Linkssi paid plan and you change your mind within 7 days of that first charge, we'll refund you in full — no questions asked.
To claim the guarantee:
- Reach out via the contact page within 7 days of the first charge.
- Include the email address on your Linkssi account and the date of the charge.
- We'll confirm, issue the refund to the original payment method, and revert your account to Free.
Refunds usually clear within 3–5 business days depending on your card issuer and the payment gateway.
4. After the 7-day window — no pro-rata refunds
After the first 7 days (or on any renewal charge after your first paid month), we don't issue pro-rata refunds for unused time in a billing period. What happens instead:
- You cancel any time from billing with two clicks.
- Your subscription stops renewing — no further charges.
- You keep your paid plan access until the end of the current paid period, then the account reverts to Free. Your content stays intact.
This is standard SaaS practice — the fair trade for monthly billing with no long-term contract.
5. Billing errors and duplicate charges
If you've been charged incorrectly, charged twice by mistake, or charged after a successful cancellation, we'll refund the incorrect amount in full. Reach us via the contact page and we'll investigate and correct it — always.
6. Service outages
If Linkssi is materially unavailable for an extended period and that causes you real harm, contact us and we'll look at a goodwill credit or partial refund case-by-case. We don't operate under a contractual SLA yet, so this isn't a formal entitlement — but we want customers to feel fairly treated when something breaks on our side.
7. Chargebacks
Please email us before filing a chargeback with your card issuer. Almost every billing concern can be resolved in a single email; chargebacks cost both sides fees and close the door on a direct refund. If a chargeback is filed in bad faith (without contacting us, or for a charge that was clearly legitimate), we may suspend the account until the disputed amount is settled.
8. How to request a refund
One channel for all refund requests: our contact page. Tell us:
- The email address on your account.
- The date and amount of the charge.
- Whether you're claiming the 7-day guarantee, reporting a billing error, or asking for a goodwill refund.
We'll respond within 2 business days.
9. Governing law
Refunds are subject to the law of the Republic of South Africa, and nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act that can't be excluded by agreement.
