Refunds
Read the refund rules for Free accounts, the 7-day first-subscription guarantee, and why monthly renewals are not pro-rated after that window.
This article summarises Linkssi refund rules for support and self-service. The binding legal text lives at Refund policy — cite that page for disputes.
Free plan
Free never charges, so refunds do not apply. Cancelling a paid plan returns you to Free — see Upgrades, Downgrades & Cancellation.
First paid subscription — 7-day guarantee
If you subscribe to a paid plan (Starter, Pro, or Premium) for the first time and change your mind within 7 days of the first charge, Linkssi offers a full refund, no questions asked.
To claim:
- Contact us via Contact us within 7 days of the first charge.
- Include your Linkssi account email and charge date.
- We confirm, issue refund to the original payment method via Paddle, and revert the account to Free.
Refunds typically clear in 3–5 business days depending on your card issuer.
After 7 days — no pro-rata refunds
After the guarantee window — or on any renewal charge — we do not refund unused days in a billing period. Instead:
- Cancel anytime from Dashboard → Billing.
- Renewal stops; no further charges.
- Paid access continues until period end, then reverts to Free.
This matches standard monthly SaaS practice: flexibility without long contracts, no mid-cycle cash refunds.
Service outages
Extended outages may be considered case-by-case — contact Contact us with dates and impact. There is no contractual SLA refund tier yet.
Paddle's role
Paddle processes approved refunds to the original payment method. Linkssi support initiates refunds after verification; you cannot chargeback without contacting us first for faster resolution.
Best practices
Use the 7-day window to test Pro features (forms, bookings, Smart Sites) seriously — embed on a real page, run test submissions.
Tip: Downgrade or cancel before renewal if you are unsure — avoids needing a refund after charge.
Chargebacks and disputes
Contact Contact us before initiating a card chargeback — we can often resolve billing misunderstandings faster than bank dispute timelines. Chargebacks on valid renewal charges may result in account suspension pending investigation.
Tax and VAT on refunds
When a refund is issued, Paddle reverses the charge including tax lines shown on the original invoice. Your finance team should match Paddle credit notes to original receipts.
What the 7-day window is for
The guarantee exists so you can evaluate Pro features — lead forms, bookings, Smart Sites pixel — on real traffic. Use it to embed a form on a client page, run test bookings, and confirm CRM workflow before committing long-term.
Cancelling vs refunding
Cancellation stops future charges but does not reverse the current period charge. If you want money back within the 7-day window, contact Contact us explicitly requesting a refund — cancelling alone does not trigger automatic refund. After 7 days, cancel before renewal to avoid needing a refund at all.
Billing disputes
Email via Contact us with account email, invoice ID from Paddle, and description. We respond within business days.
