Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of Linkssi (the "Service"), operated from Durban, South Africa. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. What Linkssi is
Linkssi is a software-as-a-service platform that lets you build a hosted "link-in-bio" page, capture leads and bookings through it, collect analytics on visitor activity, optionally map a custom domain, and send small newsletter campaigns. It is offered on a subscription basis with a free tier and three paid tiers (Starter, Pro, Premium).
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information when registering, keep your password secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You're responsible for everything that happens on your account, including activity by anyone you give credentials to.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher, to agree to these Terms on your own behalf. If you're creating an account on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use Linkssi to:
- Break South African law or the law of any jurisdiction where the page is viewed.
- Host, link to, or promote content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, fraudulent, or designed to deceive visitors (phishing, fake stores, crypto scams, pyramid schemes, fake downloads).
- Attempt to compromise the Service, the servers it runs on, or other users' accounts.
- Send bulk unsolicited messages via the newsletter feature — only send to people who actively opted in.
- Resell the Service as your own without a reseller arrangement with us.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with or without notice depending on severity. Where possible we'll give you a chance to fix the problem first.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload or publish through Linkssi — your logos, images, links, copy, bookings, leads and subscriber lists. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, copy and display that content solely to operate the Service and to keep your page online.
You're responsible for having the right to use everything you upload (images, fonts, third-party content). We don't review uploads in advance but may remove content that's clearly infringing or unlawful when notified.
5. Billing
5.1 Plans and prices
Current plan prices are shown on our pricing page. The Free plan is genuinely free forever. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Paddle, our merchant of record, in the currency Paddle determines at checkout based on your card's country.
5.2 Renewal
Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. Your payment method will be charged on the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your billing dashboard — see section 6.
5.3 Price changes
If we change our prices we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price takes effect for you. You can cancel before the change if you don't want to continue at the new price.
5.4 Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Paddle will retry the charge on a standard dunning schedule. If no payment succeeds within 7 days of the first failed attempt, your account will revert to the Free plan. Your content stays intact — you can reactivate by updating your payment method.
5.5 Taxes
Paddle is the merchant of record for every subscription and is responsible for collecting and remitting any sales tax, VAT or similar obligations (including EU VAT, UK VAT, US state sales tax and South African VAT). The prices displayed on the pricing page are pre-tax; the final amount shown at checkout includes any tax applicable to your location.
6. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel your subscription any time from billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period — you keep access to paid features until then, and your account reverts to Free afterward. Your content stays intact.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. By using the Service you consent to the processing described there.
8. Uptime and service availability
We work hard to keep Linkssi online 24/7 and we monitor uptime continuously. We don't currently commit to a contractual uptime SLA — if an outage causes you real financial loss, reach out and we'll make it right.
We may need to schedule downtime for upgrades; we'll post notice in advance where possible and aim for off-peak windows.
9. Intellectual property
Linkssi, the Linkssi name, logo, software and design system are ours. Nothing in these Terms gives you rights to use them beyond operating your own page through the Service.
10. Warranties and disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is". We make no warranties beyond those that can't be legally excluded. We don't guarantee the Service will meet every requirement you might have, or that third-party integrations (analytics, embeds, payment gateways, email delivery) will always be available.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service during that period. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses — lost profits, lost business opportunities, lost data that you didn't keep your own backup of — except where the law doesn't allow this limitation.
Nothing here limits our liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or anything else that can't be limited under South African law.
12. Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms (serious acceptable-use violations, non-payment, etc.), giving you reasonable notice unless the breach requires immediate action to protect the Service or other users. On termination your paid features stop immediately; we'll give you a reasonable window to export your data.
13. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We'll keep improving the Service. We may add, change or remove features; where a change materially reduces a feature you're actively using we'll give you reasonable notice first. We may update these Terms; material changes will be emailed at least 30 days before they take effect.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute we can't resolve by talking to each other first can be heard in the South African courts of competent jurisdiction.
