Bookings
Create event types, set availability and notifications, embed booking on your bio or external sites, and manage appointments from the dashboard calendar.
Linkssi Bookings lets clients and customers self-schedule appointments from your bio or an embedded widget on an external site. You define event types, availability, buffers, and confirmation behaviour; Linkssi handles the public booking page and notification emails.
Bookings are a Pro and Premium feature. This guide covers setup for operators moving off Calendly-style tools or manual DM scheduling.
How it works
Event types — Each type represents a bookable offering: "30-min discovery call", "Table for 2", "Studio trial class". Set duration, description, and availability rules.
Public booking page — Each event type generates a shareable URL. Add a booking block on your bio or embed via Smart Sites on a client website.
Confirmations — Customers receive confirmation email after booking. Where enabled, self-serve reschedule reduces no-shows.
CRM integration — Bookings create or update Contacts alongside form leads, giving one timeline per person.
Manage everything from Dashboard → Bookings.
Setup steps
- Verify Pro+ plan in Dashboard → Billing.
- Open Dashboard → Bookings → Event types → create your first type.
- Set availability — working hours, timezone, and any blackout dates.
- Configure notifications — confirmation email content and reminder settings where available.
- Copy the public booking link or add a Booking block in Dashboard → Bio.
- Optional: embed on WordPress or static HTML via Smart Sites — see Installing Smart Sites Embeds & Pixel.
- Book a test slot from a private window; confirm it appears in your calendar view and Contacts.
Plan requirements
Bookings require Pro (~$29/mo) or Premium (~$99/mo). Not included on Free or Starter. Smart Sites booking embeds also require Pro+.
Best practices
Start with one event type, prove the workflow, then add variants. Keep durations honest — a "15-min intro" that is really 30 minutes destroys trust.
Tip: Place the booking block directly under your profile on the bio so Instagram traffic can book in two taps.
Sync your real calendar discipline: update availability when you travel or take leave. Empty slots that cannot be fulfilled generate bad reviews.
Calendar hygiene
Block lunch, travel, and focus time in availability so auto-offered slots match reality. Review upcoming bookings each Monday in Dashboard → Bookings.
Client communication
Include booking link in email signature and auto-reply DMs while transitioning off manual scheduling. Set expectations in event type description (duration, prep required, cancellation policy).
Reschedule and cancellation
Where self-serve reschedule is enabled, customers manage changes from confirmation email links — you receive updated calendar entries. Define your cancellation policy in the event description; Linkssi sends transactional mail, not legal contract text.
Common mistakes
Forgetting timezone — set your workspace timezone in Dashboard → Settings before publishing slots. Embedding booking on an external site without Pro Smart Sites access. Offering too many similar event types — confuses visitors; consolidate. Ignoring confirmation emails in spam — ask test bookers to check junk folders during setup.
