Bio Page Builder

Learn how the Bio builder works, which blocks and theme settings each plan unlocks, and the step-by-step workflow to publish a mobile-first page.

The Bio page builder is Linkssi's core editor — a drag-and-reorder workspace where you assemble links, content blocks, embeds, forms, and booking widgets into a mobile-first public page. Changes publish when you save; there is no separate "go live" step.

This guide is for anyone editing their first page or refining an existing bio after upgrade. You will work primarily in Dashboard → Bio (also labelled Links in some views).

How it works

Each workspace can hold one or more pages depending on plan (Free: 1, Starter: 3, Pro: 10, Premium: unlimited). Every page has:

  • A slug on linkssi.com/yourbrand (all plans).
  • Optional custom domain mapping (Starter+ via Dashboard → Domains).
  • Theme settings — colours, fonts, background, profile photo, and (Starter+) hide Linkssi branding.
  • Blocks — links, section headers, rich embeds, forms, bookings, contact card, and more.

The builder shows a live mobile preview as you edit. Drag blocks to reorder; click a block to edit its content. The public page at your slug updates on save.

Setup steps

  1. Sign in and open Dashboard → Bio.
  2. If prompted, claim your slug — this becomes linkssi.com/yourslug.
  3. Add your profile — name, bio text, avatar (use Dashboard → Media or the in-builder picker).
  4. Add blocks — start with one primary link or CTA, then layer embeds and secondary links.
  5. Adjust theme — match brand colours; on Starter+, toggle hide Linkssi branding in theme settings.
  6. Save and open the public URL in a private window to verify layout on a real phone.
  7. Optional: map a custom domain under Dashboard → Domains (Starter+) — see Custom Domains.

Plan requirements

Up to 3 pages, 90-day analytics, contact card, custom domain, hide branding, advanced link controlsStarter

Unlimited pagesPremium

Lead forms and booking blocks appear in the builder only on Pro and Premium. Contact card blocks require Starter+.

Best practices

Put your strongest CTA above the fold — "Book a call", "View menu", or "Get a quote" — not buried under ten social links. Use section headers to group content. One featured link with animation (Starter+ advanced link controls) draws the eye better than twelve equal buttons.

Tip: Upload logos and hero images to the Media library rather than hotlinking fragile external URLs. See Media Library.

Use UTM defaults in page settings so campaign traffic stays attributable in Dashboard → Analytics.

Mobile preview discipline

The in-builder preview approximates mobile layout but is not a substitute for testing on a real device. After every significant edit, open the public URL in a private window on your phone. Check thumb reach on the primary CTA and embed load times on mobile data.

Publishing workflow

There is no draft mode separate from live. When you click Save, visitors see the update immediately. For major redesigns, work during low-traffic hours or prepare blocks offline before saving. After save, spot-check every link — broken URLs on a live page waste ad spend.

Common mistakes

Adding every link you have ever published. Visitors on mobile scroll once — curate ruthlessly. Forgetting to save before sharing a new URL. Enabling hide branding on Free — the toggle is visible but requires Starter+; upgrade first. Mixing up rich embed blocks (media on the bio) with Smart Sites embeds (forms on external sites) — see Smart Sites vs Rich Embeds.
