Contact Card
Learn how the Contact Card block works, how visitors save your details to their phone, and which plan tier is required to add one to your bio.
The Contact Card block adds a digital business card to your Linkssi bio. Visitors tap once to save your name, phone, email, and website to their phone contacts — no separate vCard app required.
Contact Card is ideal for networking events, retail counters, and Instagram bios where you want a frictionless "save my details" action alongside booking and enquiry links.
How it works
Add a Contact card block in Dashboard → Bio. Fill in display name, phone, email, company, website, and optional photo. The public page renders a tappable card; mobile browsers offer "Add to Contacts" using standard vCard behaviour.
Branding follows your page theme — colours and avatar match the rest of your bio.
Setup steps
- Confirm Starter+ plan (Contact Card is not on Free).
- Open Dashboard → Bio → Add block → Contact card.
- Enter accurate contact fields — typos propagate to every saved contact.
- Upload a professional headshot via Media picker if desired.
- Save and test on a real phone — tap the card and confirm "Add contact" appears.
- Place the block near the top for event-heavy use cases, or below primary CTAs for digital-first brands.
Plan requirements
Starter, Pro, and Premium include Contact Card. Free does not — upgrade at Dashboard → Billing or see Plans and Pricing.
Best practices
Use the same email and phone as your form follow-up so Contacts CRM and saved cards stay consistent. Include your custom domain URL in the website field once mapped — see Custom Domains.
Tip: Restaurants and studios pair Contact Card with a booking block — save details for walk-ins, book online for planners.
Refresh details when you change numbers — old vCards linger in phones until users re-save.
vCard behaviour on devices
iOS Safari and Android Chrome both offer native "Add to Contacts" from the card tap. Desktop browsers may download a .vcf file instead — that is normal. Test on the device your audience actually uses (usually mobile from Instagram).
Pairing with other blocks
Strong bios stack Contact Card under the profile, then a booking or enquiry link below. Avoid duplicating phone number in plain text and card — pick one primary save mechanism.
Event and retail use cases
Networking events: Place Contact Card as the first block below your profile so a handshake becomes a saved contact in one tap. Retail counters: QR code on signage pointing to your bio with Contact Card prominent. Service businesses: Pair with WhatsApp link for immediate chat after save.
Updating contact details later
When you change phone or email, edit the Contact Card block in Dashboard → Bio and save. Existing saved contacts on visitor phones will not auto-update — regulars may need to re-save. Announce number changes on social when the card field changes.
Common mistakes
Adding Contact Card on Free — the block prompts Starter+ upgrade. Omitting international dialling format for global audiences — use +27 prefix where relevant. Duplicating every field in separate text blocks — the card is cleaner than raw text for save-to-phone behaviour.
