Analytics

Track link clicks and traffic trends on your bio, configure UTM attribution, and unlock source, geography, and device breakdowns on Pro plans.

Linkssi Analytics shows how people interact with your bio — link clicks, block engagement, traffic trends, and (on higher plans) sources, geography, and devices. Use it to double down on what converts and retire what does not.

Every plan includes analytics; depth and retention vary by tier. Open Dashboard → Analytics after login.

How it works

Click tracking — Each link and interactive block records taps. See totals and trends over selectable date ranges.

Page scope — Filter by a single bio page or aggregate across your workspace (useful on multi-page Starter+ and Pro accounts).

UTM attribution — Set UTM defaults in page settings so Instagram, email, and ad campaigns appear as identifiable sources.

Advanced insights (Pro+) — Cards for traffic sources, geography, and device breakdowns unlock on Pro and Premium. Starter gets 90-day history and weekly trends; Free gets basic click totals.

Smart Sites complement — Pixel page views on external sites attach to Contacts, not always the bio analytics dashboard — see What Are Smart Sites?.

Setup steps

  1. Publish a bio page and share the URL with real traffic.
  2. Open Dashboard → Analytics — select date range and page scope.
  3. Configure UTM defaults in Dashboard → Bio → page settings before running paid ads.
  4. On Starter+, compare 90-day trends to spot seasonal patterns.
  5. On Pro+, review Sources, Geography, and Devices cards for campaign optimisation.
  6. Export CSV on Pro+ when reporting to clients or stakeholders.

Best practices

Change one variable per week — featured link, embed placement, CTA copy — and read analytics before the next change. Without discipline, data becomes noise.

Tip: Tag offline materials with UTM parameters (?utm_source=flyer&utm_medium=print) so QR scans appear in source reports on Pro+.

Review analytics after major social posts within 48 hours while traffic is fresh.

Reporting to stakeholders

Pro CSV export feeds weekly marketing standups — clicks by link, source breakdown, geo for campaign regions. Screenshot Analytics cards for client PDFs on agency retainers.

Privacy note

Analytics aggregates visitor behaviour; do not attempt to deanonymise individual clickers for cold outreach unless they also submitted a form with consent.

Troubleshooting checklist

If advanced cards are empty on Pro+, confirm traffic volume — insights need data. If Starter 90-day view looks short, extend range selector where UI allows. Export issues usually mean plan gate — upgrade or narrow date range.

Common mistakes

Judging success by page views alone — click-through on your primary CTA matters more. Comparing Starter to Pro source cards that are hidden — upgrade for channel-level insight. Forgetting Smart Sites intent lives on Contact timelines, not only bio analytics. Running ads without UTM defaults — traffic shows as direct or unknown.
